The baby of a pig is called piglet. Pigs have a very well developed sense of smell can easily find things underground. Many experts consider pigs to be more trainable than dogs or cats. Pigs are often considered by scientists as the most intelligent of animals. Pigs do not have functional sweat glands. Use water or mud to keep cool in hot climates. 

Pigs do not like to sit in the mud. Infact, they prefer the more clean than other animals. 

Mud used only as a coolant in the summers, also out of necessity. 
Mud also provides protection of pigs against flies and parasites, besides being used as a form of sunscreen, which protects the skin against sunburn.

The scream of a frightened pig can measure 115 decibels.

A full grown pig can drink up to 14 gallons of water a day.

Pigs are the only mammals that exist everywhere in the world. 

Pigs can live up to 15 years have a keen sense of smell, hearing and excellent eyesight.

Pigs can harbor a great variety of parasites and diseases transmissible to humans. These include trichinosis, Taenia solium, cysticercosis, and brucellosis.

 Pigs are also known to host large concentrations of roundworm parasitic worms in their digestive tract.
